Borgatti’s - best ravioli I’ve ever had in my life and the prices are amazing. Worth the trip to Arthur Ave.

La Masseria

1 mention

I like La Masseria it’s a family owned restaurant on W48th and Eighth Ave that makes their own pasta and their red sauce is amazing, I love the raviolis myself but it’s a great place and reservations are needed but not too hard to get

I still remember the final ravioli dish with their aged balsamic. I didn't get the overly salty complaints other redditors have.

Now every time I pass that place I just wish my parents still lived further out in Brooklyn and would still bring me fresh ravioli on Sunday from Pastosa or Frank & Sal.

They will offer the ravioli starter as a main if you ask, most of the time I go with the omelet with fries.

Carmine's

1 mention

22 ravioli for $34.95 is a shitty deal when they’re Sysco cheese ravioli in marinara. Sure, Carmine’s ravioli is a lot cheaper per piece than the places being critiqued in this post. But I feel strongly that it’s a far worse value than the decent restaurants serving 5 nice pieces of ravioli for the same price.

Coletta

Coletta-great service and have had good food there before but their ravioli was one of the worst things I have ever had in my mouth. Sour ricotta and tangy tomato sauce. It was so foul I couldn’t eat it.
