Their bagels come from NY Jumbo Bagels and are excellent and perfectly sized

if you go out of the way to hit up NY Jumbo Bagels, and have to wait in line for it, it's almost guarantied to be a "worse" bagel compared to if you grabbed a bagel from somewhere nearby like Bagel Market or Chelsea Bagel of Tudor City.

  • replying to u/JelloDarkness: You should try NY Jumbo Bagels (2nd Ave betw 56th and 57th) if you haven't already. They are my favorite of all of the great choices in NYC. Their turnover is high enough where if you don't have a strong preference on bagel type you can just ask for whichever ones are warm. They are not the best for sandwiches (putting aside the "cream cheese sandwich") but the strength/quality of their bagel is hard to beat.

Savory bagels are slightly sweet (not good)

  • My favorite, from a recommendation on here, are NY Jumbo Bagels on 2nd Ave between 57th and 56th. They also have great rugelach. Can’t speak for the sandwiches but love the bagels and spreads
