Chongqing Lao Zao for hot pot. Thai- Saranrom, Hungry Thirsty, Hug Esan, Zabb PuTawn (all Isan/Northeastern Thai) Indian- Indian Table (Goan.) Rowdy Rooster on W32nd for spicier chicken sandwiches, though they have notably got rid of their spiciest offerings Sri Lankan- Sigri, though I haven't tried Lungi

Or do you mean articles about food from non-experts? I'd recommend first looking at **Sichuan** versus that antiquated Cantonese influenced spelling. There's a few that I think stand out depending on your preference certain items: Chong Qing Lao Zao is probably overall favorite, especially for hot pot. Fish With You serves the best Sichuan based stews. Hot oil fish or sauerkraut fish. Tai Er is a chain and Nai Brother is its LIC equivalent. Hot Space (all locations) and Chuan Tian Xia in Brooklyn. Little Pepper is a nice, family run place that does a good job with homestyle dishes. Red Sorghum or HUPO in LIC if you are someone who loves ambiance. Alley 41 or Cheli their private rooms and excellent presentation.
