    However, Lady Mendls was very much subpar. The food was mid the service was humbling, but the aesthetics were quite nice. If you want to go for food I would skip.

  • replying to u/shxnjiexin: I think sundae best and lysee are good; also add salswee, french asian dessert, and flowing space tea house, which offers tea omakase if you like tea and want to try different teas.     Yeah, I didn't think the sandwiches were very good at lady mendls either, but it's hard to beat the vibes.

  • replying to u/ninja_byang: The afternoon tea at The Plaza is bad. Service was bad and food/tea was mediocre. I recommend Blue Box at Tiffany's or Crosby Hotel/Whitby Hotel (same owner). Heard good things about Lady Mendl's but haven't tried it yet.

    Lady Mendl’s - maybe it’s better when it’s not a holiday but it was mid the last few times I went.

    Lady Mendl's for sure. Even more so if you are even remotely a fan of The Gilded Age. My college student specifically requested we go there again over her spring break.
