Peppino's

7.4/10Italian

The is whole pies only, no slices, so plan around that. People also order the and the and heroes, which come on their own dough bread. Most locals call it underrated, though a couple say it's fine and nothing special.

  • the best cheesesteak here is the cheesesteak hoagie from Peppino’s in Brooklyn. It’s not exactly like from Philly but it’s its own awesome thing.

My go-to is the Special Cheesesteak with mushrooms and red peppers!

I love their house sauce and they're always super accommodating if you ask for extra sauce (I'm a dipper!)

Peppino's is ok.  For Bay Ridge there are much better options depending on how much you want to spend and what your want to eat. I'm partial to Piccante and Amuni, if you're looking for more upscale there's Terina.  And while I'm not the biggest fan and think it's a bit overrated people really seem to love Brooklyn Roots.  And if you want nearby, Il Colosseo has good old school Italian as does Ortobello.

i had a great pizza and a few apps at peppinos.
