replying to u/Upper-Lake4949: I'm pretty sure Poetica started with just a couple of locations near Windsor Terrace, the owner is from that area, and they opened somewhere around 2020-ish? I'm also pretty sure they are still all owned by one guy, but not sure what he did before or why he's aggressively expanding. I'd also wonder if it's that Poetica is "taking over" or if the guy is just good at getting in when another tenant is on their way out (if that's enough of a difference even, idk!). My ideal world would have variety and small independent businesses, but if the choice is Poetica or like...Blank Street? I guess it's Poetica.

replying to u/DemonicPoots: This is the one. Their caneles are genuinely exceptional. The chef/owner is German, but used to work in a Michelin star restaurant as their pastry chef. He knows what he's doing!
