replying to u/kathiag96: If you're fans of sushi, I can't recommend Rosella enough. It's in the East Village/Alphabet City and all sustainably and locally sourced. It's a must stop every time we go to NYC. The service is impeccable as well. Very small restaurant inside (about 25 seats) so you'll want to make reservations a month ahead of your trip.

replying to u/halfcastdota: honestly high end omakase is nothing like what you’d get at bozu. sushi sho and yoshino are considered the best but you’ll be spending at least 600 pp at both if not more and i’m not sure that’s worth it if you’re never actually had high end sushi before. you might be better off going somewhere like rosella. if omakase is a must something like shota omakase, bar miller, sushi ikumi or noz 17 instead of jumping straight into sho or yoshino.
