replying to u/roccamanamana: I *really* appreciate the recommendations in Dumbo. Thank you so much, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I had looked into Time Out Market a bit, but saw a lot of mixed reviews on that. Superfine and Randolph's look fantastic for our purposes (husband loves a brewery). Thank you for the Noodle Pudding recommendation -- I'll add that to the list of options to present to my husband, lol. I'm sorry if I wasn't more clear/specific on willingness to travel -- Yes, though I'd like to keep to to something like 30 - 40 min subway, ideally, but willing to go further if there's something fantastic + a good area to spend some time in. I understand Brooklyn is huge. For example, I was willing to go up to Williamsburg on Friday because it seems very, well, trendy. So I figured we could go to Lilia for early dinner and have plenty of options to stroll around, find a few bars, find a good ice cream shop or other place for dessert, etc.

replying to u/26point2miles: I like DeKalb Market a lot, it's in Brooklyn. BK Jani and the Doner Place are great. I also enjoy being at Timeout Market, also in Brooklyn. Love the setting. And the choice of food is also good. Can be overly crowded at busy times. The Hugh in Manhattan is good too.
