replying to u/hedonisy_: I love Kimika, have been 4-5 times and was always received well. The italian-japanese pairing is out there, so I get that it’s not for everyone. I actually appreciate that they don’t try to force fusing the two cuisine on one plate. Curious to hear more about what went wrong for you!
“Serving a heavy red sauce at the same time as a delicate raw fish leaves one dish overpowered or another cold. Wine selection was not good either. Not thoughtful to the dishes and waay too much markup.”

replying to u/ando228: Kimika. The longest negative review I've ever written and I took my partner for a birthday dinner. I was so embarrassed I had a second birthday dinner to make up for it. The menu looks interesting but on the plate it's really some Japanese dishes and some Italian dishes, with a little nod between the two. Service was absent. Wine marked up x5. Hard pass and I like Wayla a lot.
