Dos CaminosCHAIN

4.9/10Mexican

AI-generated summary

Most people say skip it. It's a Landry's chain, the sauces come in from a commissary, and it costs two to three times what the food is worth. The ones who defend it only go for happy hour or when work is paying.

  • It's nothing special. I used to work at one years ago. Most of their sauces are brought in from a commissary and they just reheated for service.

  • replying to u/throwawayzies1234567: No it is not good. There are several Mexican restaurants over on 9th by your hotel. Rancho Tequileria is a good one, or Arriba Arriba if you want to sit outside. For a little more upscale Mexican, Tacuba is great.

It’s ok now, but not particularly authentic, it’s a chain owned by Landry’s.

  • replying to u/FastChampionship2628: I was going to say Dos Camino's at E 50th/3rd Ave however they have gone out of business. So maybe Rosa Mexicano (several locations, one is at E 52/2nd Ave).

I think these are both dreadful choices - overpriced bland garbage.

  • Not worth it. Just tastes like they ordered ready to eat stuff from Sysco these days.

  • I still like it. Yes there are other options. Depends what your food preferences are. If you eat everything (meat seafood) there are much butter options. For veg it is pretty decent.

  • Ngl, I really like dos Caminos margs and they have a good HH. Im pretty picky about my margs and theirs are surprisingly good for a chain
