replying to u/laughingwalls: I haven't really tried a biscuits here. I've heard that generally they aren't good in NYC, because the flower that is commonly used for biscuits is difficult to source north of Virginia. I only got it this time, because it was an unplanned lunch and I walked in here. I will check out bubby's. I am sure I will want a southern fix from time to time.

replying to u/Gandalf-68: Re Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill, depends on day of week. During the week, majority of places open at 5 pm due to limited weekday foot traffic. Weekend is a bit more flexible. Cocktail Bars: Binc, Clover Club, Bee’s Knee’s Pub: Brazen Head Quick Snacks: Diem Eatery, Dellaroccos, Table 87, basically pizza or grab n go. If you want full service, the options open up.
