El CentroCLOSEDCHAIN

7.8/10MexicanLatin American

AI-generated summary

The margaritas were the reason to go, strong and fairly priced, and the frozen ones got named most. People also loved the and said the chilaquile was the best they'd had outside Mexico. It was old school Tex-Mex, not fancy, with happy hour every day including weekends.

I love El Centro but yeah, it will fit the bill. The salsa is good, though

  • replying to u/secret_identity_too: I love El Centro (54th & 9th) although I don't think they have dessert. I'm usually too full to even consider it, anyway. Their shrimp enchiladas are incredible. They also have a happy hour even on weekends. I've never had a bad meal there.

Their chilaquiles are the best I’ve had outside of Mexico.

  • El Centro on 54th & 9th is my go-to. It isn't fine dining, but the food is good and the margaritas are strong.

El Centro's margaritas (especially frozen ones) are legit. They pack a nice punch and they have happy hour every day, even on weekends. Frozen raspberry is my go-to.
