replying to u/espresso-urself: I've been wanting to return for their brunch menu. The restaurant I think is from Miami and the vibes definitely were miami-esque, almost feels like you enter a club when you're in the dining room. I had an enjoyable experience there, and people rave about the coconut cake which def was good, but haven't been dying to return for dinner. The short rib I remember being super tender though, glad you liked it too!

The View rotates and has an amazing view of Manhattan, and is also operated by Union Square Hospitality group - so great food as well! Wayan is delicious and would feel “cool” for the teenagers. Pastis is another good option!
