replying to u/OtherHalf747: Prospect Heights here I think Leland is the best restaurant in the area. Zaytoons deserves a lot of love. Good food, delivers well (though also great in-restaurant of course), very reasonably priced, large portions. Believe they’re cash only if you dine in. Chuko is great if you plan to dine in. I learned the hard way that delivery ramen isn’t the same. Nothing against them, as their food is delicious. Sushi Lin is one of the best “neighborhood sushi” places in NYC in terms of quality. I’ll put it up against Sushi Yasaka on the UWS. Ciao Gloria’s breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe is great. Lowerline’s po boys are full of flavor. Don’t skip them. Ozakaya has great food and drinks. I’d like to pour one out for Plant Love House. Awesome Thai. I also really miss Maison Yaki. I’d take Cruz del Sur over Alta Calidad. I went to Oxalis once and found the food forgettable for the most part. Their bread course is incredible and I could eat that for every meal, but the bread course shouldn’t be the most memorable course of a Michelin-starred tasting menu. The service was Michelin-star quality though. I found Olmsted’s food more flavorful, even if they don’t have the same star recognition. Oxalis is closing at the end of the year though, in advance of moving to a new space in the neighborhood. The current space will become an all day café in the Spring. Incredible selection of bars: BierWax, LaLou (though a bit pricey), Bilt Bar, Finn’s Corn…

Menu looks the same. This is some of the most delicious Mexican I’ve had in NY, the carne en su jugo is amazing, just like I’ve had it in Chicago (which has much better Mexican food than NY, I hate to give it to them - not a typo, hate to do it).
