replying to u/ibleedblue: Bagel hole is disgusting. Went once and never again. I’m not talk about the quality of the bagels, I’m talking about everything else. They use one slicer for meat, vegetables and cheese. All of the vegetables are sad and wilted and the cheese looks old. The bagels are good but not even close to good enough to go back.

replying to u/ParkSloperator: One pereson's opinion does not a definitive list make. People are annoyed that Bagel Hole in Park Slope didn't make the list. I personally think she took one look at the storefront and didn't step inside but it doesn't matter....there's still a line on weekends because Bagel Hole, like Ess-a-Bagel, appear on every other list of OMG BEST BAGELS!

replying to u/ThatCaviarIsAGarnish: It's interesting with Bagel Hole too: on the Brooklyn and Park Slope subs it's often a debate about Bagel Hole vs. Terrace Bagels. I tend to get from Terrace more often if I'm in that area--even though the hours are similar at both places it seems if I want something particular (like an everything bagel) I may or may not be able to get it at BH as they may have sold out but Terrace will often have lots of them left--and still really fresh and good. Terrace also has bigger, fluffier bagels and Bagel Hole's are a lot smaller. I think they're both worth stopping in especially for people who are just curious but I've become more of a Terrace fan.

replying to u/Goldzinger: Depends on what "close to Barclays" means. The masses who are telling you to go to Bagel Pub are wrong. Bagel Pub is incredibly mid. Bergen Bagels also pretty mid. I'd suggest GERTIE -- about a 12 minute walk from Barclays. They have the best bagel this side of Flatbush avenue. Others have also suggested Shelsky's, I'd say that's also a great choice, especially if you're looking to get the works (fish, etc) on your bagel.

replying to u/YosephusFlavius: Kossar's is good. Ess-A-Bagel is also good. I am fucking shocked no one has mentioned H&H yet. God tier. Although, if you're in Brooklyn, Bagel Shmagel in Bay Ridge is excellent. If you're in Queens, Utopia Bagels or Whitestone Bagel Factory are also very good.
