Get the Cookieman - Michaeli - pastries, Jewish bakery - Bagel Shop - best bagels in the UES (don’t @ me) - Calexico - Mexican - great Margs - Chez Nick - classic American - Eddy’s On York - cheap breakfast and lunch (also kosher); wonderful service - Merrion Pub - cheap drinks and bar food! - Wok 88 - affordable and delicious Chinese - Lolita’s - Mexican; great steak burrito - La Vita Pizza - good for cheap slices / takeout - Marinara’s - not cheap, but if you go get the MVP and mozz sticks w vodka sauce - Korali - wonderful Greek There are plenty more - enjoy!

replying to u/CabassoG: Khachapuri as noted. This specifically is the Adjaruli variant as its flat with an egg and butter which you mix into it. For spots, I would heavily recommend Saperavi/don't like Chama Mama though their khachapuri are alright. There's also Oda House for Manhattan with the best one being at Tone Cafe which is deep in Brooklyn. The old tasty cheap one was at CafeDelia but that place closed unfortunately

replying to u/Piedude223: Zhego is great bhutanese. I liked Chama Mama for georgian but wasn't amazed. Still need to try Oda House and CafeDelia. For Uzbek, people like Shashlik House. Couple of good Uyghur places like Kashkar cafe, Nurlan Uyghur, and Tengri Tagh. You can find plenty of Eastern European spots like Kafana, Cka Ka Quellue, and Sarajevo Grill (and many, many more that would warrant their own post).

Upper East Side so it’s easy for you to get to from queens and Manhattan. Really cozy, fantastic Georgian food, and the right vibe for what you’re looking for. The magic of NYC dining is finding a spot that feels homey and exciting and they nail it.

replying to u/Homechef13: As a Georgian I don’t recommend oda house. Saperavi recently opened on the UES and is much better and more authentic. Laliko is amazing for Georgian food and more of an elevated experience. Otherwise you can go to BK for really authentic Georgian: aragvi and marani are really good but there’s so many options and you can sit there all night.
