replying to u/lerenardetlarose: If you’re going to go with chocolates, Stick With Me is the best. Even people who profess not have a sweet tooth devoured the box I got. The chocolates are amazing, but the fruit caramels are also great! MarieBelle is ok (pretty presentation though!). I respectfully disagree with the suggestion above re: Max Brenner, Venchi and Nuts Factory- everything I’ve tried from these three ranged from mediocre to terrible. Same with Li-Lac (sorry!). Seconding recommendations for babka from Breads, halva from Seed + Mill (get a soft serve while you’re there), and kitchen accessories from Fish Eddys. You can also get rugelach from Michaeli’s. I prefer a thinner cookie, but I always get requests for Levain cookies.
