“The noodles were incredible but I would've liked them to be a bit saltier. The hamburger was delicious but I really should've focused on the noodles.”

“Overall, great broth: the consomme-style they use in Lanzhou cooking has a nice, clean, savory quality to it. The beef slices were tender.”

“I found a lot of Manhattan Chinese spots (mostly in Chinatown) to be overrated too, like Mei Lai Wah, Super Taste, Potluck Club, Wah Fung, 1915 Lanzhou, and Dunhuang and as alternatives, I'd much rather go to many of the underrated Manhattan Chinatown bakeries (like Tai Pan, New Cameron, or Tao Hong) or just make the trek to Flushing (especially the New World Mall).”
