replying to u/rdnyc19: I'd add Schmackary's to your desserts list. Best cookies in NYC (sorry Levain...) And get the tiramisu at Veniero's, rather than the cannolis. Also Orwasher's. Everything is great, but especially the hand-filled doughnuts.

replying to u/EagleFly_5: With tax which they charge for food & drinks, it’s north of $7 a cookie. Don’t know why they didn’t when I ordered online, but they did tack on an automatic 10% gratuity on online orders. To put it in perspective, at my hourly job @ Amazon Fresh in the Bronx, starting wages are $20.20/hr ($19.70/hr if seasonal) and wages cap up to $23.20/hr for 3 year tenured associates, so someone would have to work ~20 minutes to purchase *one* cookie from here (we sell party size Oreos for $6). Now if I was at the Fresh fulfillment center across the street from the Empire State Building (& nearby Culture Espresso’s shops) tbh I’d do this a little more often for my coworkers. At least they offer a small discount if you buy a dozen, but from all the spots I’ve brought so far to my job site like Levain Bakery (no delivery to the Bronx), Chip City (they deliver to the BX, but lol it’s $12-$16 for delivery fees either from Queens or Bay Plaza), Schmackary’s (no delivery to BX), Crumbl ($10 delivery fee to the BX from Bay Plaza), Choc NYC (they don’t deliver at all), to name a few, buying for 18 people (+ myself separately but day shift ~120 people were working at that time) it’s not as expensive as I pictured it but it’s typically someone’s first exposure to these things when I bring it in. Even something like Starbucks (which is nowhere near my job) plenty of my coworkers rarely have, if ever.
