Di Palo's Fine Foods

8.9/10

AI-generated summary

It's an Italian grocery, not a restaurant. People say the mozzarella is the best in the city and the in sauce are worth buying by the tub, and the chicken cutlet and prosciutto get the same treatment. Expect a line. The porchetta only shows up some days, so go early on a Friday if you want it.

  • Insanely delicious chicken cutlet, Good mozzarella and focaccia. Perfect for a freezing cold day like today.

  • The wonderful thing about the food at DiPalo’s is the care taken on everything. They are known for their house made mozzarella.

  • I think I'd say just try to get your hands on the best ricotta you can get - not the Polly-O containers but rather fresh one from a place like Di Palo's.

  • Dipalos in little Italy is my favorite for years family owned and specializing in Italian cheese. Expect to spend some time there and tell them what you like. You won't be disappointed.

Di palo, but yes best cured meat this side of the Atlantic. Truly better than most cured meat shops even back in the home country

  • replying to u/Johnnadawearsglasses: DiPalo's in Little Italy is family owned and run and I give them all my business if I can. They also make the best fresh mozzarella in the city. And are reasonably priced for the quality. When I'm in Bensonhurst I also go to Pastosa Ravioli.

This one. I used to work 2 blocks away and miss it so much. But I still make special trips out there. I worked for a food stylist that would only get certain ingredients from here (including the mozz!)

  • The best store bought meatballs I’ve ever had, and the only ones I would buy are at Di Palo in little Italy.

  • Di Palo’s has really good bresaola! Not overly salty and you can get exactly how much you need
