replying to u/bluefiddleleaf: Yes. I used to work here and the flavors are made completely out of what they say they're made out of. For melon sorbet we were just chopping up huge amounts of fresh ripe melon. For burnt marshmallow the chefs were torching giant pans of marshmallows and then mushing them up into the sweet cream base. I love their stuff so much and working there just made me appreciate it more.

replying to u/BoomOp: I have to say that Trader Joe’s mint chip is my favorite. Their coffee is amazing too, it’s called coffee bean blast I believe. They both hit way above their weight and I like them both much more than haagen das or Ben and Jerry’s.

It's the cheapest gelato place I've been to in NYC but the taste definitely reflects the price, since the gelato isn't very smooth and had some small ice bits. Some other amazing gelato options are Venchi Chocolate and Gelato, Anita La Mamma del Gelato, and Figo il Gelato. For ice cream places with more unique flavors, consider Chinatown Ice Cream Factory, Davey's Ice Cream and Malai.
