“It's good winter food, but i dont think I'd go back if I had to wait in this cold. We had a reservation when they first opened and still had to wait. Their mandoo did have amazingly thin skin, and the food hit the spot after standing outside.”

replying to u/Foodiegirlie030793: I love the nasi lemak from a few Malaysian restaurants (it’s a coconut flavored rice centered dish) I like it from Nynonya in LES or Malay Restaurant in Flushing even Papa Rich has a good one. Another dish is Hainanese chicken rice you can also order that at the Malaysian restaurants. The thai version can be found at chick it out in LIC. I also enjoy the sticky white rice that comes with tofu stew in Korean restaurants.

replying to u/slowcanteloupe: echoing what others have mentioned about Ktown. that being said, murray hill can be a bit of a hike (close to an hour by uber, otherwise, you'd probably take the LIRR Port Washington line to get there. If you're doing Ktown, i would say, there are a few places you might try: Tosokchon - big ass hearty soups. when i've gone its been pretty nice and quiet. Gammeok - traditional dishes, but very crowded.
