replying to u/Strange1130: I waited like maybe 15-20 minutes at the Williamsburg location the other weekend. I’d have been pissed if I waited 50. Anyway I thought it was quite good. I think I gave it an 8/10 and my GF similar. My GF got the burrata slice which was better than the one I got (a daily special, white slice with sausage). But I love a crispy thin slice. We then walked over to Fini and I thought the pizza was a bit better (not as crispy, but tasted better) and there was no line.

I’m almost hesitant to mention them because I don’t want them to get the hype treatment and suddenly have a line out the door but they’re some of the best pizza in lower Manhattan but are just way lesser known. I stumbled across them just by chance while walking home with a friend and have told several foodie friends about them and they all agree they’re amazing. I’ve slowly started to see their name show up more in the comments here but they still seem to be more of a hidden gem

DRINKS 1 - Dear Irving on Hudson Rooftop Bar - so nice and pleasant staff; excellent drinks; two separate views on opposite sides of the building (smaller bar was better) 2 - Martiny’s - best drinks in the city; also a really great staff 3 - Manhatta - best view and nice cocktails 4 - Ruby’s Dive Bar - fun place for a cheap beer and hotdog; we went twice 5 - Monarch Rooftop - good for one drink and view 6 - The Dead Rabbit - decent but not world’s best, but most likely because the parlor floor was closed 7 - Attaboy - expected more; drinks were kinda just made for you and not actually based on what you tell them (we are cocktail people) The Independent - cozy and had some basketball on 8 - 3-4 places in Little Italy - great for Aperol Spritz; good for outdoor seating since it was beautiful out 9 - Yard House - good for a chain and more basketball 10 - Off The Wagon - easy to drink there before and after the Comedy Cellar 11 - The Joyce - Solid live music for St Paddy’s Day FOOD 1 - Grand Street Pizza - best pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had outside of Detroit; nice little bar and outdoor seating 2 - Thelewala - late night food right across from Comedy Cellar; asked for their 2 most popular wraps; the one was with minced lamb was one of my favorite drunk foods all-time 3 - Pissilo - #26 on ciabatta was a really goo…

replying to u/wipny: L’industrie makes my favorite slice. They cook their slices extra well done to the point of crunchy so I can see some people not liking it. I live close to Grand Street Pizza and just had it again recently. Taste wise the plain slice reminds me of a classic NY slice but I wished it wasn’t so wispy thin and floppy. I guess I like my slices thicker with a bit more structure. I tried Lucia Pizza on W Broadway for the first time and it was pretty good too.
