Ariari

AI-generated summary

Get the dolsot al bap, the hot stone bibimbap with sea urchin cream. The and the also come up a lot, and people single out the starter and the tartare. The splits people completely. Fans say it lived up to the hype, and the other side found the food bland and anything fried too greasy.

I thought it was... fine? I had pretty high expectations with how much hype i'd seen for it but it was kinda unremarkable.

  • They serve it free and it’s probably one of my favorites that I’ve had so far. Super crisp, bright, Busan-style but also very much seems like it’s a geotjeori style kimchi since it’s so crisp and fresh.

  • 6/10 - the scallop sushi starter was AMAZING. Everything else extremely bland, sadly.

Found both of them really underwhelming. Flavors were one-dimensional and the fried options were really greasy.

I had the softshell crab (kinda oily), some bulgogi (I think it was beef then; pretty standard), and the pork soup (not super interesting). Not really anything notable and for me kinda small portions for the price. I wouldn't go back unless an out of towner really wanted to try it.

the dolsot al bap, the scallop handroll, the Yook-hoe, mak-hoe and octopus are my favorite things.

ARIARI blew us away too. Specifically the scallop and the tartare. Will say, I love eel and I wasn’t crazy about their fried eel. But all in all definitely lived up to the hype
