“the demand and willing prices paid make it one of the best spots for omakase in the USA.”
“I love it, it helps to understand from a hospitality economics standpoint, the only way they can afford to do $65 omakase, is to limit seatings to an hour, it’s way more of a food experience, compared to a dining/service experience.”
“for cheaper I think Shinn East is great value”
“Similarly, I've been to Shinn East 3 times but choose not to go there anymore because the inconsistency and lack of seasonal diversity bothers me (something I used to be less sensitive to).”

“While I personally like the quickie omakase places (Sushi by M and Shinn East are those, and I suspect Sushi by M too) and you should go, they are not really a "special day" dinner mostly bc they are very quick/efficient -- you are in and out within an hour (and some, like Shinn East, i think actually put a 60 min time limit on it).”
“I enjoyed Shiki Omakase far more than Shinn East and they're about the same price.”
