They have great cocktails and the vibe is somewhat romantic, because they take the cocktail bar aspect seriously. Its dimly lit, good for a friday night. I would consider them better than a lot of the favorites here like Ippudo, Tonchin, Ivan Ramen. I haven't tried it, but you might also consider Jeju Noodle Bar, which is Michelin Star korean Ramen.

replying to u/UpwardFall: To bounce the question back to you, what cocktail type do you typically order at these places? Base liquor / citrus / flavor profile? My rec would be Jeremy’s in UES that opened last year. A bit pricier cocktail, but damn good, and a nicely put together bar with burlesque on Fridays at midnight. On top of that you can order a decent bar dinner with their limited menu. Uva Next Door and NR have other fav cocktails in UES but they’re restaurants rather than cocktail bars.

replying to u/SadCombination7535: For breakfast in Brooklyn that's very new York the pastrami egg and cheese on a bagel Frankel's is to die for. NR ramen is vaguely by the met and is really excellent. There is a William Greenberg location right next to the met. Get a black and white cookie there. They are great Also if looking for a breakfast/lunch place I'd really recommend s&p lunch. All the new York deli and diner staples in one place.
