Don’t listen to Carmines - touristy and fatty glutinous oversized portion the style that caters to midwesterners visiting from NYC who want “authentic Italian” (it’s not) - the Ci Ciamos, Il Mulino, and L’artusis of the world are just simply great chefs/reataurant and their menu is Italian….other callouts include… - Palma - a little step below L’Artusi but an easier res in WV - Portale on I believe 28th and 6 or 7th. One of my favorite restaurants in the city

replying to u/Lyin-Don: Haven’t been to Tatiana but agree that both Torrisi and Sartiano’s were disappointing. Especially Sartiano’s. Even tho my expectations for them were much lower - Sartiano’s still didn’t reach them. Torrisi was decent but certainly not great. Not even sure I’d say good. But def better than Sartiano’s. Which is shit
