replying to u/efalaym: **Williamsburg/Greenpoint** is a great place to do this. It is very walkable and has a lot of great places: Borough Chocolates for chocolate bonbons. Federoff's Cheesesteak Peter Pan Donuts - inexpensive mom and pop shop style donuts. Moe's Donuts - founded by someone that used to work at Peter Pan's and only 1-2 blocks away from one another Qahwah House - Yemini coffee and tea. I recommend the Adeni Chai if you like masala chai as they are very similar. They have nice pastries as well. I really like the Khaliat Alnahl which it a pull apart bread filled with a soft cheese and drizzled with honey. There is a new location in the West Village as well which leads me to: **West Village places:** John's of Bleeker - AMAZING pizza and wonderful atmosphere. The booths are still the original ones from the 20s and are all carved up graffiti style. My friend just introduced it to me a couple weeks back and we are going again tomorrow. As a plus it is right near Qahwah house. See's Candy - Originally from San Francisco from the early 1900s (if I remember correctly) and a great place to dispel the myth of bad American chocolate Molly's Cupcakes - I always go for the Birthday cupcake (funfetti cake, blue frosting, and filled with cake batter), and the Ron Bennington (chocolate cake, with chocolate ganache frosting, and filled with peanut butter). Doughnut Project - NYC has some great gourmet donut places. This one has mostly yeast donuts, my picks are the ricotta filled, the lem…

replying to u/citydudeatnight: emmett's but i honestly do not think its really good (native chicagoan) hotdog is good obviously but way overpriced. thin crust pizza is okay - italian beef sandwich too dry even when "jus'd". im not a deep dish person but i seen it from other patrons order and it looks way undercooked. overall all overpriced. but to be fair - im picky because i have eaten these foods everywhere in chicago living there and there's a reasonable baseline price i was used to and it's too high for me - even for nyc prices.

replying to u/eldersveld: Love that place. They come the closest I've seen here to an accurate Chicago dog. They don't steam the buns, and sometimes I've seen them use grape tomatoes instead of slices, but those are the only divergences I've found.
