  • These might just be the best chicken nuggets I’ve ever had. I was hanging with the chef/owner Sam the other night and he made these off-menu katsu curry nugs that I’m still thinking about

Mine was tender but the pieces were too large for one bite, and they seemed extremely confused/annoyed when I asked for a knife. And they didn’t have knives, at all. It was honestly kinda frustrating.

  • replying to u/Jessense: Oh I waited forever too, but not an hour! Maybe it’s a fluke and I should try again, but damn the steak itself was pretty hard to eat even though it looked beautiful.

They take a large cut and slice it down to “steaks”. Because of this I feel like sometimes the “steak” gets sliced with instead of against the grain. Has happened to me once of the ~10 times I’ve had it.

  • The steak frites were good but the fries too salty. Nuggets were nice and juicy but the standout dish was the fried oyster mushrooms paired with the black garlic sweet chili. Definitely would go back.

  • Maybe not quite as chewy, but it was very very tough and not an enjoyable textural experience compared to most skirt steaks ive had. Fries and sauce are fuckin bomb tho

  • If you’re up for some delicious and fairly priced wings, we’re open 7 days a week at 140 Wilson Ave 🫡

  • replying to u/LoriJayneNYC: We sell 7 jumbo sized wings for $14, I’m not gonna call it cheap, I’ll say that in 2024 where wings are going for approx $3 a pound and ours get cut by hand, dry brined, fried, rested, fried again on pickup and tossed in a housemade Crystal Buffalo Sauce and served with housemade blue cheese dressing, $14 is a more than fair price. I have all the respect for spots that can do 25cent wings and all you can eat etc, but often that requires frozen pre portioned/seasoned wings which can be delicious, but is different than what we do. If you’re up for some delicious and fairly priced wings, we’re open 7 days a week at 140 Wilson Ave 🫡 (Also, try our Buffalo 2.0– housemade buffalo sauce x blue cheese x parm x lemon juice x fresh garlic x parsley, it’s like a perfect all in one wing you don’t need to dip and just demolish then sop up the sauce with your fries) Check it out on ig, @lorijaynebk

we also do a sick mala / Sichuan vibe wing with our housemade chili oil + Sichuan spice and we’re about to throw on our spring wings which are mustard brined then tossed in a spring onion+garlic pine nut herb de Provence green sauce, they’re awesome.

  • replying to u/LeftReflection6620: Love this place but my god I got fucked waiting an hour to sit down there at like 6pm one time.

Maybe it’s a fluke and I should try again, but damn the steak itself was pretty hard to eat even though it looked beautiful.

  • replying to u/azharv23: For Lori Jane- what should I expect regarding the line? Seems like they may sell out Thank you!

Also just gonna add, if they have it, the burger is NOT something to sleep on. I honestly think it’s one of the best burgers in the city right now.

  • replying to u/LoriJayneNYC: Lori Jayne, $22, shut it down.

Went there last night and it was FANTASTIC. Got the nuggets (they were soggy), got the burger (it was fine) but the steak au poivre was 10/10.

  • replying to u/LoriJayneNYC: Hey boss, this wasn’t about you or any one customer. Frankly, it wasn’t even mostly about tipping, that was the fourth point. We’re very fortunate to have 99% amazing customers, but it has been deeply frustrating the 1% who have been exceptionally rude or aggressive to my staff and me, it’s exacerbated by being our fourth day open while we’re still working out the kinks. This post (and any I make) are not from a place of aggression but compassion and respect for my staff and our work. I am not “calling anyone out” for tipping or not, in our restaurant the tips are distributed evenly amongst all people working, cooks and cashier, and the model existing in is one where tipping is an unfortunate reality. I’m frustrated that my sincere appreciation for my staff and the majority of our customers has been interpreted as some kind of demand for tipping, it simply isn’t. Also Michael, I was just messaging with you regarding our hours, I’m not really clear how that conversation led to this assumption and posting but your feelings are your own and I respect that. We appreciate your and all our customers business, tipping or not, rude or not, but I just need to clarify this one time the intention here vs. how it’s been interpreted and described. I’m not going to be responding to other comments here, if you’d like to chat feel free to dm me in the morning on ig or just swing by the restaurant, I’m there just about every day. Thanks, hope your meal was good and to see you soon a…

I thought your staff did a good job when I was ordering. They explained things and answered questions. I appreciated it and was (am) looking forward to coming back.
