“Their croissants are not good. Maybe they get away with the plain ones where they maintain some lamination, but every other one for which they are Instagram famous are oil bombs. Literally sopping.”

replying to u/exc3113nt: Consider this: Apartment 4f in Brooklyn Heights is yummy. I like it. But I live in the neighborhood so sometimes I happen to pass it when there's no line. It's not worth it (for me) to stand in line down the block to wait to get in. So when I tell someone it's not worth waiting in line for, it's more guidance for them to put it on their docket and visit when the timing works out. My personal opinion is that it's not worth waiting a long time for ANY food. I'll invest time in a commute, e.g. going to Jackson Heights, but not to physically stand in line watching other people eat.

replying to u/sommersolveig7: The bakery space is so crowded at the moment and I absolutely agree that you don’t have to wait in line for excellent pastries if you don’t want to. Radio is near me, and I love a cheeky rhubarb custard, but only if the wait is 15 mins. I feel like I keep ordering the wrong thing at Apartment 4F, because nothing has blown my socks off
