Get the vinegar chicken. It's the one people come back for, along with the mozzarella stick and the . Expect to wait. There are no reservations and no call when your table is ready, so people stand outside checking back. A fair number think it's hyped up bar food that's fine but not worth the line.

Like completly unjinged and unbelievably rude behavior.

Bernie's are really good for the first, like, three minutes, and then they're gross at room temperature just because they're so thick

  • In terms of food, it's a fantastic, cozy menu consistently executed at a B+ standard: great wedge and mozz sticks, decent burger, decadent but slightly bland chicken parm. Everything is a little too salty tbh.

  • I can't for the life of me understand why there is a line to that place every day. They used to charge $30 for a wedge salad. Just looked and it looks like they came to their senses about that one and lowered it, but they raised their prices on the store bought frozen mozzarella sticks...

  • replying to u/Blue_Line: Bernie’s? That place is a little $$ but staff and food are great.

I think it’s all hype… again I’m a vegetarian, but the veggie burger is mid at best, mozzarella sticks are average, Caesar is good but not close to the best I’ve had, and I haven’t had the eggplant bc it’s $30 for eggplant parm with no pasta / bread… I’ve been twice both times pretty disappointed w the food.

  • There have been a few times where the burger is amazing - super beefy tasting, well seasoned/cooked. There have been times where it's grey and kind of bland. Overall I like it though, more often good than not.

  • Upscale diner food. Definitely not bad, not unreasonably priced and they've got a very friendly staff, but probably not even worthy of the top 50 the city has to offer.
