replying to u/kmpham2013: Very Fresh Noodles I got the pork Dan Dan Mian. This was excellent. It had a large portion of minced pork and a generous scoop of chili crisp with very spicy, crunchy soybeans. There were plenty of noodles topped with a substantial serving of pork, peanuts, and scallions. There’s nothing more you could want for a quick, filling, and satisfying meal. It had a bit of numbing spice along with some heating spice, but neither was too heavy-handed. I wish the noodles were cooked a little less to be chewier and the pork was ground finer to mix better, but otherwise everything was good. There were also pieces of chili cucumber salad incorporated. This is one of the great slop dishes from a country known for its wonderful cuisine.

replying to u/zbewbies: I'm going to guess you mean *Taiwanese* beef noodle soup right? If that's the case, then Xi'An is not going to cut it because it's too different. Have you fried [Very Fresh Noodles](https://www.yelp.com/biz/very-fresh-noodles-new-york)? It might be a little too non-traditional, but it should mostly be on point. [Ho Foods](https://www.yelp.com/biz/ho-foods-new-york-3) has a solid spicy one and [Four Four South Village](https://www.yelp.com/biz/four-four-south-village-new-york) is very Taiwanese as well. Personally, I think [Taiwan Bear House](https://www.yelp.com/biz/taiwan-bear-house-new-york) should be mentioned and [Mama Lee](https://www.yelp.com/biz/mama-lee-bayside) is the ultimate.

Good options in chelsea market are Eat Offbeat, Very Fresh Noodles (taiwanese beef noodle soup), los mariscos or los tacos no 1. Bangkok supper club is thai inspired brunch type and apparently its easier to get into now. Also frenchette (the cafe/restaurant attached to the whitney) is also not bad and if you need to kill an hour or so after the museum its nice to get a hot chocolate to go at the cafe counter and walk up and down the high line
