“I didn't get many pictures at all, but it was seriously excellent. It was on par, if not superior to a couple of 1* places I've been to in the city in the past 6 months.”
“Overall, we enjoyed and felt the price was fair ($125 per person, before drinks) but wouldn’t rush to go back.”
“I thought just about every dish was bland. They served the taco without the citrus. The dish with that white emulsion sauce was sloppy. The skin on the fish wasn’t done well. So many things.”
“It was really good! Not my favorite Michelin star restaurant I've been to but it was a fun tasting menu. We got to eat abalone which is a first for me. Their sourdough tortilla is something magical with that brown butter and the blood pudding taco was amazing. The dessert has a passionfruit marshmallow that was incredible too. Some of the dishes were just okay.”
“I went to Corima two weeks ago for tasting menu with wine pairings and it was the most disappointing dining experience I’ve had in years. Each dish was so muddled and disjointed. It felt like we spent 20 minutes waiting between every course. It was an overall strange service and huge letdown.”
“The food was okay, but it was certainly not Mexican, it has more of a japanese vibe than Mexican imo.”
“some dishes were too salty but others were under seasoned. The crab didn't taste like crab and the macaron tasted like smoked salmon.”
“I had a great time at Corima. I didn't feel like the food was mind blowingly delicious as much as it was original and interesting and clearly incredibly labor intensive, with a clear point of view. I also liked the staff, beverage pairings and general vibe of the place.”
“Recently had an otherwise great meal here that was undermined by an uncomfortably warm dining room.”
“Really really good food and great service too.”
“the best value tasting menu in town, and a really unique take on northern Mexican cooking.”
“It was a really good meal!!! Every dish was a hit, my favs being the buñuelo, the crab esquites, the taco, and the cacao amazake frozen yogurt.”
“The problem with going à la carte there is that I would just order a dozen sourdough tortillas.”
“Housemade Tortilla + Recado Negro Butter at Corima”
“when I went was the most value for money tasting menu i’ve ever had (very good for ~120)”
“Corima sourdough tortilla I dream about.”
“Everything was excellent. I think the squash/kampachi was the best. And the service was outstanding. Highly recommended.”
“Genuinely had the worst dining experience at corima this year. Three hour meal for two people with nothing offered or apologies given for any wait.”
“I thought it was a bit hit and miss, service was certainly not polished yet. Soup and mackerel were great. Pairings were tight.”
“Surprised they earned a star as my meal nor cocktail was anything memorable.”
“I was very impressed with the Northern Mexican/Japanese thing they were doing and expect that the price will go up as recognition catches up with them.”
“Reasonably priced and punch for punch hangs with the best”
“Cosme and Corima are two Mexican restaurants that feel like the Mexican cuisine that is making Mexico great right now. If you love real Mexican food like you find in the best restaurants in Mexico, give them a try.”
“it was clear they were still going through some growing pains (dishes and service were almost there but just needed a bit more refinement)”
“I asked for seconds on the tortilla + butter haha.”
“Places like Corima (they have foam, but can order à la cart), 8282, Ha’s Bistro/snack bar, YongChuan (get the duck), Potluck club / Phoenix Palace, bar contra / Wildair, Sami & Susu, Sunni’s, and even Peasant (maybe the closest vibe you’re looking for) are all amazing options.”
“Corima was the best I've had in a long time.”
“Corima was the best meal I've had in a very very long time in the city. Their flour tortillas are to die for”
“I have not been to Cosme but I had one of the most lackluster meals of my life at Corima. Many dishes were under seasoned and basically tasteless. Hard pass.”
“Worst tasting menu in the city. I can’t believe they were awarded a Michelin star.”
“I always sit at the counter at 63 Clinton and the food is good, but I'd say very comparable to Corima with nothing crazy, but well executed, good food.”
“I went last week and loved it too! The sourdough tortilla was a surprise and desert was amazing. Definitely would try it again.”
“Wonderful meal and wine.”
“Corima is a good new one. Comes in right under $100pp. I haven’t tried the tasting menu, though, just the a la carte—it was quite good.”
“Corima was fantastic and is the best valued tasting in the city. Imo it blew 63 Clinton out of the water bite for bite. Simply way more inventive, personal, and evocative of a place”
“Corima gives me similar vibes, do a la carte.”
“I had the absolute worst service at Corima.”
“Corima (new michelin star in LES) has the best mole I've had in Manhattan.”
“Absolutely loved it. The drink pairing was very interesting with drinks including wine, beer and sparkling sake. Staff was really good. Definitely would recommend.”
“Drinks were better than the food. The tasting menu had a few misses, just things that tasted a bit odd. I always wondered how it got its Michelin star.”
“Had an extremely expensive very uneven meal there. And incredibly slow service. Will not go back.”
“I thought it was a bit hit and miss, service was certainly not polished yet. Soup and mackerel were great. Pairings were tight.”
“Corima is by far my favorite bang for buck spot right now. Delicious, creative, and doesn't break the bank too much.”
“We really did not enjoy Corima. Bad service and mediocre overpriced food.”
“I went last night it was…mid? Did a la carte and the only thing that was mildly above average was the duck.”
“I will say Corima is worth setting the alarm for”
“Just under that price range but also great Saint Julivert Nubiani Yingtao Corima”
“Definitely Corima, it’s so good and a great price right now”
“I went and it was better than I expected! The dishes were inventive and tasty.”
“Tortilla (must get), crudo, cecina, Caesar, Berkshire pork are a few from recent visits”
