Bangkok Supper Club

Save room for the , served in a young coconut. People call it the best dessert in NYC and some go just for it. The is the main to order, and the list gets named a lot. It's upscale Thai and expensive, and people say the portions are small for the price.

I thought everything was quite good! The dishes had a lot of depth of flavor while feeling subtle/elevated, and the sauces and curries were all delicious.

  • Just got back from my dinner there and it was phenomenal! We started with the prawns satay (small portion but well made) and then did the crying tiger (ribeye) and sea bass curry for the mains. All delicious!! Make sure to save room for their pandan chiffon cake that comes in a coconut — delectable. Would definitely come back

  • replying to u/BEARDBAR: Bangkok Supper Club does this amazing coconut cake thing inside of a young coconut. So it’s cake and cream and whatnot and then you scrape the soft coconut flesh in to it. It’s so fucking good

this dessert was probably my favorite thing we had (which is saying something as everything was fantastic). The cream on top is slightly salty, the coconut cake is soft and not too sweet. Probably the most unforgettable dessert I’ve ever had

  • replying to u/CabassoG: I prefer Bong of the two. Also, there are several Thai spots I prefer over Fish Cheeks like Bangkok Supper Club or otherwise that I would recommend for out of towners.

BKK supper club was good but I was a little disappointed. The flavors were muted/diluted. It was less like a high-end restaurant in Bangkok than I was expecting.

Bar none my favorite dessert in NYC. I always scrape down the young coconut meat after like an addict.
