Get the and the ube eclair, the two things people name most. The shatters into flakes, and the is rich enough to split. A lot of people say everything is too sweet and the flavors get buried under sugar, and that the ube tastes muted.

  • absolutely delicious! It has marshmallow melted into the cookie and the difference in texture from the chewy cookie to crunchy candied cornflakes was delightful. We also got a Creme Brulee Danish which was good but the cookie was perfect.

  • I ate the plain croissant there which was incredibly butter and flakey. The stuffed croissant was a little much for me, same with the berries and cream doughnut. Just a little too much filling for my liking but the flavors were delicious. No notes on the others, they were great and I will definitely be back to try more of their menu

  • Honey Roasted Cornflakes, Macadamia & White Chocolate Cookie — my favorite! It was sweet and salty, also the cookie was half-baked, which was such a texture heaven like me (cruchy&chewy) at the same time!

  • Every pastry chef in the world should wave the white flag of defeat when they try this; a brutal display of confident mastery over pastry technique, flavor profile construction, and recipe development.

  • This pastry shot its way up to my personal number one, and it wasn’t even the best thing we ate from Supermoon.

  • The passionfruit curd donut is truly to die for (only if you like citrusy desserts though), and their ube pandan ice cream sandwich is also very delicious (but super rich, I’d recommend sharing)! But honestly, you really can’t go wrong with anything there !

  • So while it was delicious, I’d rather look at a traditional french bakery if I wanted a plain croissant.

  • Supermoon Bakehouse - My favorite laminated bullshit (filled croissants, etc, they're more flakey then they should be) and the most exciting ice cream flavors (the passionfruit one is super pucker, and the soy caramel is just great).

  • Everything was great, the cookie was my fav, I actually didn’t love the Thai tea filling, there was a ton of it and I wish there was a more croissant/less filling balance

  • replying to u/thansal: How's the cookie part of the ice cream sandwiches? I got a couple of scoops there recently and I'm now super enthusiastic about their ice cream as I think they have the most interesting flavors in NYC atm. Almost Ice & Vice levels for me. They're also my favorite laminated pastry bullshit options (cruffins, danishes, filled croissants, etc). They're so over the top flakey that it's ridiculous, but I love it. The multi-colored croissants are really pretty (especially once you get inside of them), though I tend to not like the flavor choices or the giant spill of white chocolate.

the cookie is less cookie and more of an ube brownie. soft and melts into the ice cream beautifully. That sticky, wrapper-coating feeling you remember from childhood ice cream sandwiches.

  • replying to u/sushi_sashimi007: Frozen affogato at Torrisi. Chocolate Tarte at Bad Roman. Anything at Supermoon BAKEHOUSE, especially the passion fruit donut. The fiore de latte at il gentile gelato.

I didn't like the sweet croissants at Supermoon as they felt a little hard / dry, but Imma have to go back to try their plain given all the raves. Their soft serves were not bad!
