“This is a wonderful taiwanese spot with amazing hot food and an arguably even better latte. They strike a great menu balance of traditional dishes and items that are fun but aren’t stupid. Everything tasted great, and I would gladly go back here.”

“These new and Manhattan only shrimp rice noodles in a cup are so fucking good I’ve never eaten noodles like that they are the shape of tater tots so they’re sooooo easy to eat out of the cup and so tasty and have a great mouthfeel. And the yuzurita is top”
“I have not found a better fantuan in the city than their (ridiculously priced) one. The radish (not mustard greens) and egg are so wonderful with the rice in ways that make me not even care that it’s not traditional as it rivals the best I’ve had in TW itself.”
“The mochi donut is loved by even non GF folks, their scallion pancake egg + cheese (with or without bacon) everyone loves, and the fan tuan is a rice roll stuffed with goodies that is great comfort food / snack.”
“their scallion pancake is way too tough and thick. and not sure why they use super wet rice to make their fan tuan, not how it's supposed to be.”
“their scallion pancakes are too thick and dry. they make fan tuans but for some weird reason use really wet rice, and they're tiny.”
“it is mostly hype. I live around the corner and go every once in a while, but I would absolutely not trek out for it. I would say 7/10.”
“It was OK? The yao tiu in the fan tuan were cremated, not the style I like. I think the scallion pancake was good too, but not sure I'd be paying such a premium for it.”
“Good food but not worth the wait (which was 45 min when we visited a couple of months ago). The breakfast sandwich with the eggs and leek was the best thing we ordered, but even that was a bit too oily.”
“This was one of the best things I’ve eaten ever. Sublime. The light texture of the bun with the delicate crunch of the panko. The sweet and savory of the milk and curry.”
“Winson bakery BEC in the scallion pancake ($15) - think i actually prefer their fan tuan which is $7 I believe”
“Really worth the hype!”
“the scallion pancake breakfast sandwich with shrimp was a dream come true. but that mochi donut, i’d order 12 and keep them to myself. 10/10”

“Again, the hype didn't disappoint. This was also surprisingly filling; I shared it with my friend and it was enough for both of us.”
“the Mochi donut at Win Son Bakery is OUT OF THIS WORLD.”
“BEC on scallion pancake was delightful but the sauce was a bit too sweet”
“I find the scallion pancake to be a pretty poor vehicle for a breakfast sandwich imo (at the bakery). It just gets way too greasy”

“The mochi donut from win son bakery is heavenly”
“The BEC at Winson was so greasy / oily so as to be inedible. Sorry. I wanted to love it”
“Delivery. So cold and soggy. 👎🏻”
“Win Son Bakery has some amazing breakfast sandwiches”
“I’m kind of convinced people who like Winson have never had scallion pancakes in their life. It’s a greasy snack you can get in any Chinese supermarket freezer aisle you can make at home.”
“Their mochi donuts are also amazing”
“The sauce that came with the sandwiches was very very tasty. The sandwiches themselves were good enough—the cheeses (havarti and something else) were well-selected.”
“BEC scallion pancake at WinSon Bakery for the win.”
“fan tuan”
“chocolate bolo bao from Win Son Bakery”
“pastries from Tadaima, Win Son Bakery, Radio Bakery, Librae, La Cabra”
“The FanTuan is the proper move. I can make the scallion pancake easily at home, a properly made fantuan is much harder, and honestly its more traditional.”
“the chicken sandwich is pretty great”
“Add custard toast and you’ve got all my faves from the place.”
“So good! Worth the trip.”

“Breakfast: scallion pancake BEC & mochi donut at win son bakery”
“my favorites atm are: Dinner: Lilia ( agnolotti, malfadi, olive oil cake) Cote ( the butchers feast is the best deal in town) Ci Siamo ( onion torta, grilled dishes) Brunch: Thai Diner (breakfast sandwich, French toast) , Chez Ma Tante (the pancakes) Breakfast: b&H Dairy ( blintzes & challah toast) Win Son Bakery ( scallion pancake BEC, mochi donut)”
“Yesss the BEC scallion pancake and fan tuan hit hard.”

“Their donuts are the lightest, fluffiest mochi donuts I've had.”
“The shrimp on a milk bun is the real move”
“Nonetheless, I think it’s wonderful. The pork fan tuan and custard toast are some of my favorite things to order in the city, my comfort foods. Both the caramel date latte and black sesame latte are also fabulous, albeit pricey.”
“the breakfast scallion pancakes are completely unbalanced and just disgustingly rich.”
“Fan tuan was so surprisingly good.”
“I personally prefer the egg sandwiches on their phenomenal milk buns—the BEC is $9.”
“I thought the donut was perfectly made and the fan tuan was constructed very well, the only item I really thought could be a miss was the BEC pancake.”
