Lots of annoying quirks (long lines, no sandwiches, only available for purchase in increments of 3) but one of the most satisfying bagels I've had in my entire life. Tompkins Square is probably my second favorite at the moment. I used to be a Murray's die-hard, but they've slipped a bit the last few times I've gone. Still way above average, but not as good as they used to be.

Crisp, light and airy, and chewy when it counts, this bagel really is optimized for the rip-and-dip. Super easy to pull apart with your hands unlike the denser bagel style and the size is small enough so that you can scoop up as much cream cheese as the bagel will hold without getting a stomach ache. Maybe the everything bagel was fresher, but the exterior was really bubbly and super crisp. I felt like I was biting into a lays potato chip when I sunk my teeth into that one. The other two were also great but less impressive than the everything bagel. I think I wish the sesames were more toasted because they didn’t impart much special flavor to the bagel.
