  • Its bubble-fermented bagels are tight, skinny and have a boldly crusty exterior surrounding a still chewy-on-the-inside, smaller-than-average almost Montreal-style bagel that is served open faced, generously layered with an elegant shmear of cream cheese and topped boldly vibrant layers of dill and a confident drizzling of herb-scented extra virgin olive oil.

  • these bagels are probably the best I’ve ever had. I got the lox and the everything bagel is heavily seasoned (the way I like it) and sooo crispy.

  • One of the best bagels I have had in a long time; they get the details right - served open face, good ratio of salmon to cream cheese, everything seasoning on both sides of the bagel.

  • This place felt the most elevated for bagels, and the price point reflected that. While it wouldn’t be my choice for daily sustenance, it’s a great place to remind you of the standard that bagels can be at and how important great ingredients are to making wonderful sandwiches.

  • replying to u/crazy_cucumber7: Anyone who is having on Apollo is close minded. It’s not a traditional New York bagel. But it’s good. Good food is good food. Still love a reg bagel but Apollo is gass

I find their bagels to be like biting into hardtack and then chewing a steak. I know a lot of folks are big into chew but I definitely miss glassy exterior amd fluffy interior with these.

  • replying to u/twoanddone_9737: Have you tried Absolute Bagels? Those are my best ever. Curious to know how they compare if you’ve tried both?

I've been to Absolute, I'd say they're both excellent but slightly different goals. Apollo's is intentionally crispier with more blistering compared to a standard NY bagel.

  • replying to u/plex_unraid_build: I am confused about the hype for apollo bagels.

I thought it was hype until I tried one. Everyone has a preference but I LOVE the chewy sourdough interior + very crispy exterior. Idk if it’s mixed daily or not but their scallion cream cheese tastes so fresh, creamy.

  • This bagel from Apollo is all that - the right proportion of great ingredients, a spritz of lemon to brighten it up, stays together when you eat it.

  • The Apollo bagels aren’t toasted, they have a kind of crispy exterior that is non-traditional but delicious. Very soft inside, not dried out at all.

  • Man the everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, and dill was divine. The bagel was still warm, fresh out of the oven. The bottom was super crispy but the middle was still really chewy and delicious
