  • They both have spicier options and they're both delicious, but I will say that Fish Cheeks is a little more approachable, have better cocktails, and is easier to get a table at, so I'd personally pick them.

  • replying to u/DinerEnBlanc: Almost every one of the popular Thai joints. The Thai food scene in NYC is amazing atm. - Fish Cheeks - Bangkok Supper Club - Thai Diner - Pranakhon - SUKH - Untable - Sappe - Soothr - KRAAM

Every time I go to Fish Cheeks, I find it less impressive. Everything is less impressive. Service, food, etc.

  • Love the crab curry here and most things on their menu. The crispy pork has some of the best texture I’ve ever had for that dish. Just a tad bit salty

  • their crab curry is an absolute fan favorite. Imo also much spicier than Soothr’s curries. I’m also a fan of the variety on their menu like the pork cheeks, steamed fish, and crab fried rice.

  • Fish Cheeks steamed fish w/ rice is one of my favorite dishes in the city. It's got a fish saucey broth so you'll taste some salt but it's so good and feels light.

  • I love the Fried Fish with Garden Herb Salad from Fish Cheeks. It's tender and crispy fish with a bright, acidic, and spicy pineapple herb salad on top
