On the UES, I had to stop going to Shake Shack because the employees are absolutely comatose and this negates the advantage of having some tables for dine in. 7th street never failed me on relatively quick service (even when busy) though. Burgers are a bit different style wise, but I like both.

replying to u/metromade: In-n-Out, only because I hear about it so much. Another is: Dutch Bros. - I had a cup of coffee in Colorado at the suggestion of a Greyhound bus driver. She said as we pulled into a stop, “We’ve got twenty min., and if you want a delicious cup of coffee it’s to the left.” It was 7AM. I dragged myself to the drive thru and it was packed. The menu didn’t make sense so I ordered No. 1, assuming it was the most popular. I boarded the bus with a couple of minutes to spare, and took my first sip as we pulled out. I should have screamed “Stop, I’ve lost my wallet” or some such ruse. That stuff is crack. I still search their locations, hoping they’ll come east. As I left the bus in New Mexico, I thanked her about the coffee tip. She smiled and said, “I told you!”
