    replying to u/boroughthoughts: The best in Manhattan are Do Not Feed the Alligator, Suited, La Cabra and Hi Collar. Davelle, Sammy Lin Coffee, and 10000 Hours can have good pour overs depending on who is working. I get the sense that coffee project might be like this, but I haven't had a good cup of coffee from them. The best neighborhood for coffee is East Williamsburg/Bushwick. Loveless, Dayglow and a number of other good shops there with more popping up all the time. I tried one named Yellow Sun that hasn't been open more than a couple of months. La Cabra has their actual roaster cafe there and unlike other la cabras its actually a space you can sit and chill. Manhattan in general the rents are so high that most 'pure' coffee shops can't sustain pour overs. So there are other good shops, they just won't have pour overs on the menu.
