  • replying to u/Agreeable-Ad-7110: It might not fit your request precisely based on your budget but I find omakases perfect for this. I tend to think that’s true at the higher end. But a great omakase, truly one of my favorites in the lower price range is sasabune in UES (not the express!) for about 180. On the mid tier, I love sushi ann. Closer to 300 if you want to be full haha because they’ll keep going until you say you’re done. It’s a little underrated because the neta size is smaller but I find their rice delicious , especially for what they are going for. I also recommend noting a preference for only a couple pieces at most of aburi because otherwise he can sometimes do a few too many for me. The reason they fit your request is these two have far fewer people. If you do sushi Ann during lunch, you’ll probably be alone at the counter.

Second Sasabune. Staff is also really friendly

  • That's one of my favorite places in the city and they have quite an unconventional omakase compared to the more traditional ones.
