  • replying to u/jaded_toast: Strawberries are actually my fave, so that recommendation is perfect! I will mentally brace for the sticker shock! Thank you so much! I remember your user name, and I've always gotten such good advice from you!

The strawberries sound just like what you're looking for. Honestly a little go a long way, they are so packed with flavor I usually cut them into smaller pieces and add them to things.

They're usually notably plumper and better tasting than dried apricots I buy elsewhere (they are usually sad). Vanilla Gourmet Specialty Foods is down the block a little and they have a bigger selection (unsure about apricots though). If you look at the photo on their Google maps listing they have photos showing the bulk bins that line the store. Expensive version, but comparable to what you'd find in Italy: Formaggio Essex in Essex Market! Their dried strawberries are succulent little morsels of delight! When I run out of mine I will cry. They are pricey but worth it. I am also not really a dried fruit person, but I make exceptions for the two fruits listed above specifically.

that recommendation is perfect! I will mentally brace for the sticker shock!
