The prices aren't flushing cheap, but the portions are massive - and it holds up well, I would frequently place an order on my way back to the UWS, take it on the subway, no spillage at all and often still quite warm 50 min later from being so well packaged. Less than a 5 min walk from the E train. **Eshel** is really great persian food on the UWS, great lunch specials too, the eggplant carpaccio will blow you away. The beef koobideh is also really good. On Columbus between 84th and 85th **Los Chinelos II:** Mexican spot on W 136th, really tasty, authentic mexican food, super cheap, this place got hit hard by the pandemic and has not been able to bounce back/recapture their full customer base because they used to be BUSY. Expect to speak spanish if you go or use google translate to order. Guac and chips is massive -feeds like 4 and is so good, get a huarache and a cerveza. Prepare to listen to lots of great music from the jukebox selected by other patrons. They also have a small tienda (store) attached and the produce they use to cook with comes right from the store. The first time I saw them carrying a basket with tomatoes, onions, jalapeños that all looked 10x fresher than what you find in any store nearby, I immediately knew I'd be bringing groceries home along with my leftovers.
