  • replying to u/icygnome: This is New York-adjacent, but I promise you, it's worth it.  Fatto a Mano is an Italian bakery run by a legit Italian that makes the best pannetone I've ever had, definitely better than Roy's.  It can be shipped, but it can also be pre-ordered and picked up from Westport on Saturdays. Totally worth the drive and making a little trip of it.

Roy >>> Fatto a Mano. Fatto a Mano just doesn’t have the same magical combination of lightness of texture and richness of flavor that Roy’s does

  • Same. It’s over $100 but so good! I want to try the other flavors but I got laid off recently and can’t justify that price point!! 😭 but yes I second From Roy!

got one as a gift once and it was mindblowing. never knew bread, and weeks-old imported one at that, could be so good.

But I'd say the same exact thing about Roy's that you said about FaM 🫣.

I can vouch for the fact that these are amazing. Always pre-order them each year.
