replying to u/RadiantRazzmatazz: On 30th itself, I like Mimoza (Croatian/Balkan) and Sugar Freak (Creole). KAL is also decent. If you’re able to go a little farther, La Riviera Maya, Krob Kreung Krob Roos, Favela Grill and Kam Rai closer to 28th are all also very good.

replying to u/americanu_ill-archi: Last time I was at Plataforma (about a year ago) it was much worse than previous years. Practically empty, no atmosphere whatsoever, salad bar was a little sad, meat was mediocre, and they clearly weren't doing enough volume to be able to offer many different cuts or variations in doneness. I haven't been to Fogo de Chão in a long time, but my Brazilian girlfriend goes sometimes and thinks it's better than Plataforma. If anyone mentions Rio Bonito in Astoria, ignore them - that place is terrible.
