replying to u/Ok-Store9093: Le Monde on the UWS (112 & Broadway) probably checks all your boxes: food, atmosphere, price. For food, Asset and Tessa are both good but tend to be loud -- so conversation is difficult, unless it's a nice night and you sit outside. There's also the venerable V&T's, on Amsterdam at 110: more of a classic "red sauce" place. Pizza (whole pies only) is good, if not exactly NY style: yeasty, with a doughy crust that almost vanishes under the weight of the cheese as you near the center.
