replying to u/PerMare_PerTerras: The Som Tum Der in Redhook was recently changed into Goog, still by the same owners. Instead of it being Isaan specific food, they have a mix of dishes from Northern Thailand (khao soi), Central Thailand (pad thai, other Thai “classics"), Southern Thailand (Massaman Nuer), and still some Isaan dishes like Som Tum. It's pretty pricey but delicious and I love the diverse menu.

replying to u/rumfortheborder: as a thai food fan, thai diner really isn't interesting to me in the least. muted flavors, instagram interior, insufferable staff. rather go to som tum der and have better food with nicer people. or untable if you want something a little further afield.
