  • replying to u/anonymous_red_panda: Honestly it’s one of two of my personally least favourite Korean restaurants alongside Jeju noodle bar. The concept of kisa is a hole in the wall restaurants for cab drivers in Korea but $30-40 is insane for what you receive. The banchan are mid at best and I know for a fact my mom can cook up bulgogi or pork with premade marinades as a base. Also really grinds my gear that you have to pay for banchan refills - the owners should know better to do that as fellow Koreans. It’s a wannabe Korean restaurant that follows the distasteful trend of chic-street without any of the benefit of being a more ‘street’ restaurant.

there are actual cabbie restaurants/delis in nyc like desi deli on 10th ave and punjabi grocery and deli on the LES where 1st street merges with houston. great food, fast, simple, cheap.
