Tacos El PorkyCLOSED

6.4/10

AI-generated summary

People rated the tacos here above Los Tacos No. 1, and a few called them the best they had eaten in the country. The al pastor ran about $2 on Tuesday. Not everyone agreed. Some said the tacos were small for the price, and one person got food that tasted stale with brown guacamole.

  • replying to u/crazeman: I haven't been there yet but you can try out Tacos El Porky in East Village. They're fairly new (opened back in February) and they have similar vibes to Los Tacos. -- Or take a trip to Chelsea Market where you can hit up the original Los Tacos #1 location and their sister restaurant Los Marsico's for some ceviche and fish/shrimp/seafood tacos. Or take a walk to the [NOHO Los Tacos location](https://maps.app.goo.gl/vrMTkkd7CiMHLJ877). There's a Levain's right next door which is famous for their THICC cookies. Funny Face Bakery is also across the street and have similar THICC cookies that's worth a try. I think I still like Levain's better if you have to pick one.

Everything tasted stale and overcooked, and the guac was inedible chunks of brown avocado.
